The hardest part of Christmas this year is not having our little angel boy around. We are still devastated by this loss and are most sad to not be having him for Christmas this year like we planned. We love you always, Rocky.
It's silly, but our thought process on Christmas Cards is this:
A) we love to send them
B) we love to be given them
C) nobody wants to see nice non-Christmas photos of us on a Christmas card
To further explain point C, we don't have cute kids to dress up with. To us, it just seems weird for us to send random nice photos of just us out. I don't know if it's because we do have opportunities for nice photoshoots, or because we are regularly filming ourselves--but it just isn't for us right now. So while it's just the two of us, we try and make our Christmas cards silly, Christmas-y, and fun.
Last year we did Christmas pajamas, Rocky in an elf hat, and Krispy Kreme Holiday donuts with a Christmas background. We didn't want to replicate that this year (we only have so many pairs of Christmas pajamas), and we didn't know what to do without our precious angel boy. So we put it off.
But then we got all of our Christmas setup and decided to take some pictures, make it fun, and call it a day.
So we put on our matching "K | A" sweaters and went to town.
We fought over an elf hat.
with massive underbites, apparently.
took turns being victorious
and grumpy
and then got creative as we decided this was a great story to tell
and then got a little too into it
and Kyle may have flipped the camera off as a joke at one point.....and Amy not knowing or seeing it put it on the Christmas card.....but don't worry, Kyle's last review of the card found the illicit photo.....and it was replaced with something more appropriate...
and we all lived.....happily ever after.....
Merry Christmas!
